FaithJustice Immigration Forum: Hospitality, Sanctuary, Advocacy
May 5, 2019 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Many people of faith are disturbed and deeply concerned about the impact of current immigration policies on immigrants and families They have felt a calling to “do something” to help immigrant families and communities. Hospitality, sanctuary, and advocacy are three of the ways that congregations and faith-based organizations are responding to the current immigration crisis. From standing in solidarity with immigrants to providing legal services to traveling to the border, this panel will discuss ways that people of faith are fulfilling our biblical calling to welcome the stranger and to oppose injustice and oppression.
